Hornady 5.45x39 60gr V-MAX SBR Ballistics

Is a shorter barrel good enough?

Another good review. I am waiting for an SBR tax stamp and the 5.45 looks like the solution for a great defense rifle. Surplus is still reasonable enough for practice too. Lets look at the approximate cost of ammo for similar calibers.

5.45x39 Hornday = .50 per round.
5.45x39 surplus = .18 per round.
5.56x45 = .50 per round.
7.62x39 = .25 per round.
and just because....
.22lr = still impossible to find.

MrGunsAndGear is wearing the 5.45x39mm shirt available at RRC.

I see an SBR in your future!
