This thing I enjoy.

This thing I enjoy...its complicated. First off, it costs a lot of money. It takes time and dedication to get right. The relaxation it provides is worth it. The regulations are quite hefty and its addictive. Very addictive. It takes crazy amounts of paperwork, fingerprints, background checks and sometimes almost a years wait just for one rush. I can make and have a baby in that amount of time! Oh and I almost forgot, there is an expensive tax needed just to own this thing I enjoy.

You may ask if this thing is legal. Is it. In fact its way easier to own illegally, but most people like myself follow laws. After all we have families, jobs and responsibilities. Many people think this thing I enjoy is the root of all evil. It can magically turn saint to sinner and ridding the world of it would fix everything. Of course this is not the case. This is not the reality of the world. This thing I enjoy exists as a good or evil thing depending on its user.

Ironically, many will never appreciate this thing I enjoy as I do. They are simply too close minded. This thing is painted always in the dark even when it brings light. Demons are not blamed for their evils, but instead this thing I enjoy surely is. Years ago it was more widely accepted. As times went on things like absence of god, immoral behavior and lack of humanity have suddenly made this thing I enjoy the problem of society. My how perception changes over the years.

Our slothful lives and poor eating habits kill more people yearly than this thing I enjoy, yet it is always at the forefront on the nightly news. There are never any knee jerk reactions to real problems that we face, there is just no glamour there. The National Safety Council reports that cell phone use while driving leads to 1.6 million crashes each year. Meh, that's nothing when we can blame all evils on this thing I enjoy.

If you've read this far, you too may know of this thing I enjoy. Just know that you aren't the only one, and you sure as hell are not wrong for enjoying it.
